Thermally Broken windows, such as the EnviraSlim and EnviraLuxe ranges, have been tested and proven to significantly reduce the amount of energy required to heat and cool a building.

This is because the heat in summer and cold in winter does not get transferred through to the inside of a building thanks to the polyurethane (rubber) section embedded in the frame.

Double glazing consists of two pieces of glass separated by air (or Argon gas) in the same glazing unit. Double Glazing provides outstanding acoustic and thermal performance. This is because sound, heat and cold need to penetrate two pieces of glass before they reach other side of the window.

Double glazing is most effective in mixed or colder climates. In mixed climates where it gets quite hot in summer, and also quite cold in winter, double glazed windows will help keep your house cool in summer and warm in winter. It will also reduce your reliance on cooling and heating (air conditioning) to keep your house comfortable

The Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) allows windows to be independently rated and labelled for their annual energy impact on a whole house, anywhere in Australia. 

WERS ratings act as a fair, rigorous and credible system for testing performance claims. WERS-rated windows must meet all relevant Australian standards and is part of the quality assurance that Stegbar undertakes to reassure our customers of our quality.

No, all our Energy Efficient window and door ranges were designed in Australia by our team. The key principle we used is that we wanted to keep it simple and we did not want to add any more complexity into using windows and doors, so builders don’t need to do anything different.
