Accessible Sliding Door
Thoughtfully designed with inclusive features, this door is purpose-built to enhance accessibility, safety, and independence for people living with disabilities - empowering greater freedom and comfort at home.

Compliant Accessible Sill

The flat sill design creates a seamless, step-free entry when rebated or with a builder-supplied ramp. This minimises trip hazards and making it easier for everyone to move in and out of the home with confidence.

NDIS-approved Hardware

Designed with accessibility in mind, the door handle features a larger, ergonomic grip area. A generous clearance between the handle and the glass surface ensures easy, unobstructed operation. Additionally, the snib lock is raised by 45mm, making it easier to locate and use with confidence.

This handle is NDIS-approved and is AS1428 compliant.

Acoustic Glazing Range

The Stegbar Serenity Glass range is both a smart and stylish way to bring peace and quiet to your home.

We can’t always control the noise happening outside our homes. Whether it's the hustle and bustle of urban living; a train, freeway or flight path interupting you watching TV or having a conversation; you may need to provide a buffer between outdoor entertaining areas and the kids' bedrooms; or perhaps you're a shiftworker or light sleeper. Noise can significantly impact the quality of how we live in modern homes.

Stegbar's Serenity range of glass can drastically reduce the noise entering your home.

If you have a specific glass type or specification required for your project, the Stegbar team will happily source this for you.

Some of our popular acoustic and noise reducing glazing options include:

THICK GLASS

  • Thick glass is a term that describes single glazing using a piece of glass that is 10mm thick or above. Choosing thicker glass for your home, or particular zones in your house, will provide a level of increased acoustic performance.
  • Thicker glass is commonly used for reducing low-frequency sounds such as traffic and nearby conversations.

LAMINATED GLASS

  • Laminated glass is two pieces of glass laminated together with a thin interlayer used between the pieces, this combination helps provide a noise dampening effect
  • Laminated glass looks the same as ordinary glass, but provides acoustic, security and UV protection
  • Acoustic laminate is also a great alternative to thicker glass, providing similar performance but in a thinner option

DOUBLE GLAZING

  • Double glazing is the term used for when two pieces of glass are used together, with a gap in between, the gap between the two pieces of glass can vary to improve its performance
  • Very common in the Northern Hemisphere, double glazing offers thermal insulation, security and noise reduction
  • Double glazing units can also incorporate other glass types (i.e. Laminated glass) for improved performance

LAMINATED GLASS

  • Laminated glass is two pieces of glass laminated together with a thin interlayer. This interlayer bonds the two pieces of glass together, and if a breakage does occur, the glass will stay in place
  • Laminated glass not only provides security benefits but also noise control, privacy and UV protection

TOUGHENED GLASS

  • Perfect for internal and external glass doors, and windows that face backyards or sports fields where balls can cause accidental damage. If broken toughened glass fractures into smaller particles to significantly reduce risk of injury
  • Toughened glass is also used in bushfire applications given its ability to withstand high temperatures
