Safety and Security Glazing Range
The Stegbar secure glass range is in a league of its own when it comes to safety, providing you with added peace of mind.
Stegbar’s secure range is the result of decades of engineering and design. Offering two types of Grade A safety glass, your home will benefit from maximum protection against accidental injury, attempted break-ins and severe weather conditions.
Have peace of mind knowing that your Stegbar windows are using security glass, helping provide extra security and protection to your home and family. But with the added bonus of looking exactly the same as ordinary glass.Â
If you have a specific glass type or specfication required for your project, the Stegbar team will happily source this for you.
Read about our popular security glazing options below:
LAMINATED GLASS
Laminated glass is two pieces of glass laminated together with a thin interlayer. This interlayer bonds the two pieces of glass together, and if a breakage does occur, the glass will stay in place
Laminated glass not only provides security benefits but also noise control, privacy and UV protection
TOUGHENED GLASS
Perfect for internal and external glass doors, and windows that face backyards or sports fields where balls can cause accidental damage. If broken toughened glass fractures into smaller particles to significantly reduce risk of injury
Toughened glass is also used in bushfire applications given its ability to withstand high temperatures
Features:Safety And Security
Glass Options:Double Glazing, Single Glazing
Private
Stegbar Private glass will allow in light, but keep prying eyes out. With a range of different options to choose from, including frosting, textures or laminate glazing types, and also single or double glazed configurations.
Private
Privacy Glazing Range
The Stegbar Private glass range is a great option to allow in light, but still keep prying eyes out.Â
With varying levels of privacy via frosting, textures or laminating techniques, Stegbar’s private glass range is perfect for those desiring a sense of seclusion in their bathrooms, bedrooms and entrances. Commonly specified on plans, particularly in higher density living or built up areas.Â
As an added benefit, using Privacy glass means you don’t always want to install blinds or curtains, particularly in areas such as the bathroom, so Private Glass is the ideal way to ensure there is privacy while maintaining natural light.Â
If you have a specific glass type or specfication required for your project, we'd be happy to source this for you.

When you can't control the noise outside your home, Stegbar's Serenity range of glass is a smart way to bring peace and quiet to your home and add some serenity back into your life.
Serenity
Acoustic Glazing Range
The Stegbar Serenity Glass range is both a smart and stylish way to bring peace and quiet to your home.
We can’t always control the noise happening outside our homes. Whether it's the hustle and bustle of urban living; a train, freeway or flight path interupting you watching TV or having a conversation; you may need to provide a buffer between outdoor entertaining areas and the kids' bedrooms; or perhaps you're a shiftworker or light sleeper. Noise can significantly impact the quality of how we live in modern homes.Â
Stegbar's Serenity range of glass can drastically reduce the noise entering your home.
If you have a specific glass type or specification required for your project, the Stegbar team will happily source this for you.
Some of our popular acoustic and noise reducing glazing options include:
THICK GLASS
Thick glass is a term that describes single glazing using a piece of glass that is 10mm thick or above. Choosing thicker glass for your home, or particular zones in your house, will provide a level of increased acoustic performance.
Thicker glass is commonly used for reducing low-frequency sounds such as traffic and nearby conversations. Â
LAMINATED GLASS
Laminated glass is two pieces of glass laminated together with a thin interlayer used between the pieces, this combination helps provide a noise dampening effect
Laminated glass looks the same as ordinary glass, but provides acoustic, security and UV protection
Acoustic laminate is also a great alternative to thicker glass, providing similar performance but in a thinner option
DOUBLE GLAZING
Double glazing is the term used for when two pieces of glass are used together, with a gap in between, the gap between the two pieces of glass can vary to improve its performance
Very common in the Northern Hemisphere, double glazing offers thermal insulation, security and noise reduction
Double glazing units can also incorporate other glass types (i.e. Laminated glass) for improved performance
Features:Acoustics
Glass Options:Double Glazing, Single Glazing
