As you enter the home, one of the building’s most striking features is its rare internal courtyard that serves as the centrepiece of the structure. Fusing both the security of indoor living and the airiness of the outdoors, the courtyard is the ideal location for early morning coffee and evening cocktails following an extensive restructure and makeover that increased the space’s functionality. Featuring two sets of Stegbar’s Aluminium double doors in a chic black frame finish, the light-flooded internal courtyard seamlessly flows into the main living area of the home while providing ample airflow and entertainment space that perfectly serves the Queensland outdoor lifestyle.

To provide the home with a sense of consistency and flow, Christal chose to utilize Aluminium double hung windows in a black powder frame finish throughout the residence. While the choice of black frames provides a striking modern design, Christal found that these windows also possessed a practicality in addition to a timeless finish that suited the vision for their home. Specifically engineered for superior ventilation and air flow control, Stegbar’s customized double hung windows provide smooth, rattle free operation in addition to weather protection and peace of mind security that were unrivalled by other market alternatives.

This sleek and modern design continues into the home’s unique glass hallway, which serves as a stunning architectural feature within the home. Enclosing a previously exposed walkway that joins the home’s entrance with its main living areas, the striking beauty of the fixed glass windows function as a protected thoroughfare that incorporates natural light into the home while providing ample privacy for the family. As noted by Christal, “I didn’t have to compromise on my style, because Stegbar offered so many options on colour, texture and design, and the wardrobes integrated perfectly within the space I had and the look I was trying to achieve.”

Having worked directly with Stegbar, Christal’s vision of a uniquely shaped, backlit rectangular mirror with rounded corners was bespoke to fit the specific proportions of the space without the overwhelming the design elements showcased throughout the bathroom.
