It's been way too long between drinks for the
Three Birds Renovation team... but for good reason!
They've been busy working on their most challenging project yet.

The brief? To fix the floor plan and make the home a haven for intimate family living and a beautiful, inviting space to work, entertain and accommodate the occasional overseas visitor. But the floor plan was anything but beautiful - it was more like a rabbit warren with no open plan, odd-shaped rooms, dark pockets, different floor heights and different styles in each room.

The result? A little slice of Spain in Sydney. The owners will feel like they're on a Mediterranean island vacay every day.

Episode 1

Three Birds kick off Episode One diving straight into the heart of the home: the kitchen, living and dining spaces - AKA the place where life, mess, memories and snacks happen!

In this episode, the Three Birds team tackle the kids’ bedrooms - where dreams are big and room to grow is essential. You’ll see how we created two fun, functional spaces the boys will love and that still pass the grown-up style test.

Then it’s onto the main bathroom - a space that needs to work hard (hello, bathtime with three kids!) but still deliver serious wow-factor. It’s all about clever layouts, beautiful finishes, and the little details that make even brushing your teeth feel a bit fancy.

Shut the front door... it’s Episode 4!

And where better to be than at the actual front door? In this ep, the team are giving the front of the home the love it truly deserves - because first impressions count! You’ll see the front façade get finessed (hello, street appeal!), an entrance that says “welcome home” with a wink, a powder room that punches well above its size, and a hallway that’s anything but a boring pass-through, thanks to the reclaimed brick wall.

From curb appeal to cute corners, this episode is packed with clever ideas and gorgeous details that set the tone for the entire home. So come on in and take a look around.

Episode 5

Episode 5 is all about the backyard, the pool, and creating that dreamy outdoor zone that feels like a holiday… but better, because it’s home.

The big challenge? Getting the proportions just right. With a new extension and a pool to fit in, they had to make sure there was still plenty of space for the kiddos to run, play and burn off all their energy.

From splash zones to chill zones, this episode shows you how we balanced beauty with practicality - and ended up with an outdoor area that’s as functional as it is fabulous.
